blends & states
What were you reaching for?
Relaxation, connection, energy, ease. Four reasons people reach for a drink — and one blend built for each. Pick the state, not the bottle.

Relax & unwind
Altared ✦
kava + damiana
instead of
beer, prosecco, or your decoy drink
the plants behind it
Kava has been passed from a communal bowl across the Pacific for three thousand years, at welcomes and peace-makings and the close of a working day. Damiana carries the warmth. Together they are the reason people say the room softened.
the feeling
focus ~ feeling ~ flow
the taste
Earthy and peppery, with a warm honeyed finish and a tingle on the tongue.

Ecstatic ⟡
kanna + damiana
instead of
espresso martini, molly, or happy pills
the plants behind it
Kanna was carried on long journeys by the San and Khoikhoi and traded as a valued good. Damiana was a ceremonial tea of the Maya. Both are plants people took when they were about to be among others.
the feeling
presence ~ pleasure ~ play
the taste
Bright and green up front, warm and honeyed underneath.

Calm & clarity
Lucid ✦
blue lotus
instead of
gin, or your evening drink
the plants behind it
Blue lotus opens at sunrise and closes at dusk, which is why Egypt read it as creation and rebirth. It was painted on tomb walls and steeped in wine at feasts along the Nile — a plant for the end of the day, not the escape from it.
the feeling
calm ~ clarity ~ connection
the taste
Floral and soft, gently tannic, with a clean finish.

Energy + ease
Long Rhode ⟡
rhodiola + schisandra
instead of
morning mimosa, beer at lunch, or 3pm caffeine kick
the plants behind it
Rhodiola was dug from high mountain scree by people who worked in cold and thin air. Schisandra is the five-flavour berry of Chinese materia medica. Both belong to the long middle of the day rather than its end.
the feeling
energy ~ endurance ~ ease
the taste
Rosy and tart — all five flavours at once from the schisandra.
