why altar native
The best alcohol alternative for your bar is the one that brings something to the glass.
Most non-alcoholic options are built around what’s missing. Ours is built around what’s there: organic plants, extracted three ways, chosen for the state your guest is reaching for. Your bartenders keep the craft. Your guests keep the ritual. Your menu keeps the margin.
Function, not filler
Triple-extracted herbal drops (purified water, organic cane alcohol and organic glycerin) made with organic herbs through a short, known supply chain. Not sugar water. Not a beer mimic.
Fast behind the bar
1–2 dropperfuls go where the spirit would. No new equipment, no syrup to batch, no special glass. The shake, the ice, the garnish stay exactly where they are.
Four blends, four moods
Altared for grounded, social calm, Ecstatic for open-hearted nights, Lucid for slow, dreamy hours, Long Rhode for caffeine-free daytime drive. One menu line for every kind of guest.
Priced like craft
A functional build earns a craft-drink price, not a soda price. The non-drinker at the table becomes a real ticket instead of a free water.

Bar & Restaurant News named herbal mixology a 2026 trend to watch.
In its 2026 trends roundup, Bar & Restaurant News asked industry insiders what would shape menus. Altar Native’s founder was one of them.
“In 2026, it may be time for herbal mixology to really take off, according to Yasmin Crystal Santos, founder of Altar Native, an herbal alcohol alternative that can be used in mocktails, added to water or tea, or taken directly on the tongue.”
Functional beverages are certainly the next wave of the sober curious trend… Especially caffeine and THC-free offerings.
from behind other bars
The industry is saying it out loud.
Bartenders are also using this category to explore wellness-driven ingredients. Think calming, regenerative, or functional components that feel restorative, not restrictive. It’s the meeting point between the bar and the wellness world.
Alcohol adjacent drinks are also growing in popularity, but consumers are using them in a different context, choosing them more for their functional benefits rather than as a mechanism for moderation.
Since we see more and more guests who don't drink at all, having a well-crafted zero-proof menu is financially beneficial for the restaurant.
It became very clear to me that guests at Birdie's who don't drink are not really having a Birdie's experience.
It definitely helps… because we capture sales that may not have happened.
It was incredible… I was surprised by how much it boomed.

Bartender & bar-owner FAQ
Still wondering? Ask us directly in the form below.
What is Altar Native?
Altar Native makes herbal alcohol alternatives: organic, triple-extracted herbal drops made for mixology. Bartenders add 1–2 dropperfuls where the spirit would go to build non-alcoholic cocktails with flavor, feeling and function. Founded by Yasmin Crystal Santos and made in small batches.
How do bartenders use Altar Native in cocktails?
Treat it like a modifier. Add 1–2 dropperfuls where the spirit goes, then build as usual: citrus, syrup, soda, ice, shake, garnish. It also works in sparkling water, tea or cacao for a simple serve. The bartender’s guide has full specs for signature builds like the Altarita, Cosmic Cosmo and Flowjito.
Which blend should my bar start with?
Match the blend to the moment. Altared (kava + damiana) for grounded, social calm, sold in stores only. Ecstatic (kanna + damiana) for social, open-hearted nights. Lucid (blue lotus) for slow, dreamy evenings. Long Rhode (rhodiola + schisandra) for brunch and daytime, caffeine-free.
What is the 16 oz bar bottle?
Our bar-format bottle: 16 oz, eight times the size of the 2 oz retail bottle, made for volume service behind the bar. Trade pricing is shared with bar accounts. Send a Letter of Intent or use the contact form and we’ll follow up.
How much does Altar Native cost wholesale?
The 2 oz bottle retails at $55 and wholesales at $27.50. 16 oz bar pricing is shared directly with bar accounts. See the wholesale page for full trade details.
Do the drops contain alcohol?
Our blends are triple-extracted in purified water, organic cane alcohol and organic glycerin, so the extract itself contains alcohol from that process. A serving is 1–2 dropperfuls within a full drink. For exact figures for your menu and licensing, ask us for the spec sheet.
Why should a bar offer functional non-alcoholic drinks?
Because the guest who isn’t drinking is still at your table. Gallup reports that 54% of U.S. adults say they drink alcohol, a record low, and NIQ found that 95% of non-alcohol buyers also buy alcohol. A crafted non-alcoholic line lets every guest order a real drink, at a real price, in the same round.
Is Altar Native in stock?
Our last batch sold out. Batch 4 is on pre-order now, and bars and retailers who send a Letter of Intent get first call on Batch 4 allocation.
What is a Letter of Intent?
A short form that tells us your bar wants to stock Altar Native: which blends, which sizes and roughly how much. It signals serious interest without locking you into a surprise invoice, and it helps us plan Batch 4 so your allocation is ready.
